International Institute
of Classical Osteopathy
The International Institute of Classical Osteopathy was formed in 2012 in an effort to integrate the Institutes of Classical osteopathy around the world and give them a unified voice. The institute brings together like minded osteopaths to discuss and explore the full breadths of osteopathy, by considering early pioneering Osteopaths; A.T. Still, Tucker, Tasker, Hildrith, Hewlett, Hazzard and John Martin Littlejohn.
The founding Institute of Classical Osteopathy in England (originally called The Institute of Applied Technique) was established in 1956 by the late John Wernham and T.E Hall with the goal of bringing together like minded osteopaths to discuss and explore the full breadths of osteopathy, by considering early pioneering Osteopaths in the US and the UK, A.T. Still and John Martin Littlejohn respectively. Over the years, Institutes of Classical Osteopathy have formed in different countries around the world with the same intentions.
